Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) is overseen by the Under Secretary of Agriculture for Marketing and Regulatory Programs (List of office political appointee positions). It oversees:

• Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), which safeguards agriculture from pests and diseases.
• Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), responsible for facilitating the marketing of agricultural products.
• Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), which ensures fair trading practices in livestock and grain markets.
