Usage

Template to cite a generic document or website for the Federal government of the United States. Accepts the same parameters as {{citation}} or {{cite web}}:

{{Cite USGov|agency=United States Department|title=Reference document|url=http://www.agency.gov/doc.html|author=John Q. Public|access-date=2022-10-01}}

→ John Q. Public, Reference document, United States Department, http://www.agency.gov/doc.html, retrieved 2022-10-01

This template accepts |agency=, which is the department or agency of the United States government that published the website or document.

This template can be used by editors when they rewrite text that was included verbatim and cited using {{Include-USGov}}, because it accepts the same parameters as that template.
