Food Safety (FS) is overseen by the Under Secretary of Agriculture for Food Safety (List of political appointee positions).

Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) - Conducts inspections and enforces regulations.
Office of Policy and Program Development (OPPD) - Responsible for policy creation and program oversight.
Office of Public Health Science (OPHS) - Focusing on research and risk assessment.
