Hydrogen is part of a comprehensive energy portfolio that can enable energy security and resiliency and provide economic value and environmental benefits for diverse applications across multiple sectors. The DOE '''Hydrogen Program''' is addressing key challenges in core technical and institutional areas including cost, durability, reliability, performance, hydrogen infrastructure, and other non-technical barriers such as codes, standards, and workforce development. EERE’s [[Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office]] (HFTO) coordinates [[Hydrogen Program]] activities across [[Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy|EERE]], [[Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management|FE]], [[Office of Nuclear Energy|NE]], [[Office of Electricity|OE]], [[Office of Science|SC]], and [[Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy|ARPA-E]].
